Meet the Makers

Because knowing who made your clothes should never be a mystery.

Meet The Makers

In a world of fast fashion and hidden factories, we believe the how is just as important as the what.

Our pieces are made in partnership with a family-run tailor shop in India, a space built on trust, time, and mutual respect.

We’ve worked with them since 2020. But their story began long before that, in 1996.

Each garment carries not just a look, but a lineage. The hands that dyed it, pleated it, stitched it. The rhythm of their work, shaped by decades of care.

Inside the Workshop

Past the spice stalls and scooter horns, tucked into the winding streets, you’ll find the place our clothes come to life.

Over 300 skilled makers, men and women — work here under one roof. No rushing. No outsourcing. Just craft, carried out with calm focus, floor by floor.

It’s not just efficient. It’s better. For quality. For people. For the planet.

Slow Work, Done Right

The process begins with fabric. Dyed in small batches offsite. Then returned to the workshop, washed by hand, softened gently.

From here, each piece moves through the hands of cutters, pleaters, beadworkers, and stitchers, many of whom have worked together for years.

The result? A garment that carries its own rhythm. A garment that remembers where it came from.

Because It Matters Who Makes Your Clothes

In a world where most garments pass through unseen hands and unknown places, we choose a slower path. One where names are known, stories are shared, and the people behind the pieces are treated with care.

When you wear The Silk Co., you carry more than a garment. You carry the rhythm of work done right, the touch of hands that have perfected their craft over decades, and the proof that beauty doesn’t need to come at a human cost.

We think that matters. And we think you do too.
